Set of bath towels: SIEUR DE CARTIERS (grey), 500 g/ m2, 3 pieces: 30 x 50 cm , 50 x 100 cm and 100 x 150 cm
In the twilight of the eighteenth century, when routes of trade, letters and confidences crossed cities with the same swiftness as the sails of a ship, the figure of Charles Chaboceau emerged, born on 28 November 1690 and Sieur de Cartiers, a title that conferred upon him the dignity of one who understands the weight of history.
A great landowner in Niort, Charles left deep marks on the town: determined steps on the pavement, gestures of one who knows how to run a house, manage treasures and keep alight the flame of a well-lived life.
Beside him stood Marie-Catherine Elies, an elegant wife whose presence seemed to make time gentler, with the quality that turns the simple into something luminous.
Charles kept alive the notion that home is a fortress of tenderness. It was this idea that gave rise to the SIEUR DE CARTIERS collection: bath towels of incomparable cotton beauty, with the cadence of a life well lived. Each piece bears the fibres of a crafts tradition that privileges care, detail and durability, just as the hands that have forged this legacy for generations have done, dedicated to enveloping body and spirit in a soft, enduring embrace.
