Among the arches of Venice, where moonlight reflected on the canals, was born Magdalena Di Luca, a young Venetian woman of elegant bearing and serene gaze. Daughter of luxury textile merchants, her parents cultivated the business with the sobriety of those who know that tomorrow depends on the perfect weave.
The house breathed silk and the murmur of orders that traveled throughout the world, always packed with the care of those who understand the weight of a well-woven dream.
In the mid-18th century, the expansion of the business took the family to Damascus, where the desert seemed to guard ancient secrets and the perfume of oriental riches. It was there that Magdalena encountered the spirit of a city, between the axis of East and West, where mornings were made with the blue of the sky plunged into the clay terrain of the alleyways.
Then blossomed the idea for the RIVA DEL SOGNO collection: ivory-toned bath towels, with blue and beige accents that echoed the play of light between the pale marble, with touches of beige and blue from the alleyways. A soft cotton that breathed the brightness of Venice and the intensity of Damascus.
It was in Damascus that Magdalena met Richard Chaboceau, a surgeon who would become French Consul. The coexistence between cultures, between science and commerce, encouraged her to dream of the RIVA DEL SOGNO collection: a manifesto of comfort, tradition, and travels that cross seas and deserts, keeping intact what Venice taught: beauty as a passage between worlds.
